This review is long overdue. That being said:

Want to find your "much-ness?"
The best gift you can give your significant other is the gift of simultaneous security and terror (good-ol cognitive dissonance) which ultimately resolves into an unparalleled confidence and empowerment upon conclusion.
Security because the trust and comfort one feels when encountering "the crew" (which I would name nothing less than fantastic) who: background you with a responsible, comprehensive safety brief, strap your scrawny semi-suspecting vessel to a man more experienced with lunacy and whom you assure yourself wishes to live beyond the present day, and smiling, usher your nubile-ass calmly toward the affectionately-named and comically-literal "sardine can" of a prop-plane. I hadn't ever considered the amount of bodies that could be stuffed into such an aeronautical enclosure and taken into the sky. That number is 12. Just kidding. Terror because of, well, the obvious. You know your thoughts.
In my case it was the pilot, a solo jumper who sat immediately to his right (shoulder-to-shoulder) in-front of the door, the Maitre 'd of the operation sitting back-to-back with the pilot, who practically had to "origami" his sturdy stilts into the liminal space we would inhabit for seemingly the short-remainder of life's experience; and with me, tucked securely in a harness, looking like a barren and vulnerable marsupial. Jon Kelly, in his experience, had the best sense of humor. They all did, really. I made a small joke about "the duct tape on the wing is hanging a bit and could use another wrap." At which all three men chuckle softly and smirk at each other. I swear, if they weren't ferrying tourists into the majesty of the pastel-shaded atmosphere, they'd be green berets on secret ops somewhere. Instant family.
I was spoiled on my jump. Absent another tandem-couple on the itinerary, we had a bit of leg room.
Definitely funny to realize I've never sat in another man's lap before, especially in the recognition of what some could interpret as impending doom. I always drove the 1 & 1/2 cab pick-up that all the homies had to pile-in on the way to the concert. I guess it was my turn.
The plane engine feels the throttle, you feel the shifting inertia. You can remind yourself that you signed up for this, now. That this is the path of probabilities you've chosen to swim along and that everything in your life has lead you to this experience for your own becoming. You're positive the person who bought you the ticket isn't listed in your life insurance policy and that they do love you and as speed and physics lift your line of sight to that of a bird, one can't help but to stare in awe. Oddly quiet, despite the rattling ambiance, Jon says to me as he dons his helmet:
"You've been waiting for this moment, haven't you?"
"My entire life." I reply.
Definitely funny to realize that I had never been in a plane with the door open before. Which I find nothing less than remarkable. Able to be remarked upon. Holy shit.

Go time.
You've never seen the sky like this. The exit-instruction you've been given is easy enough to follow and for those so inclined: "Jesus has already taken the wheel." The man I'm strapped-to knows what to do and, as hugged-up as I could possibly make myself, slides us the requisite 24" to the edge of prior security and turns to place his feet where he's familiar. My feet dangle. For the first time I realize I have hands and they immediately sweat. Moment had. The wind carries you both away from audibility.
Free fall. Words pale.
The first breath-in clears your mind and the rest of the time is spent in an amalgam of emotion which resolves to peace a plenty. No other experience in life has afforded me such vigor. I couldn't help but scream "GET SOME" as we continued our arrow-like descent. It's hard not to feel like a rock star, a movie star, a shooting star that others can gaze upward and behold while you wish what you're experiencing remains in perpetuity. Akin to flying in one's dreams.

I can't thank them enough.
Response from the owner:Oh my goodness. Just wow. What a beautiful reading of an experience few were unsure of until they did it. Such a thought out review and we cannot express enough the gratitude we have for our sky family. Thank you for taking the chance and feeling that indescribable feeling. You nailed it! Thank you so much...

Jumped this weekend with Rio at DZONE. First time skydiving and I'll definitely be back.
Response from the owner:YES! There really is something soothing about skydiving...not just the adrenaline rush. Thanks for coming to share the day with us Nolan.
