⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pure magic on a parachute string
Oh my stars and stilts, DZONE Skydiving, you absolute wizard of the wild blue. One minute I was a land-bound potato with gravity issues; the next, I was a giggling cloud-surfer freefalling through a postcard of the Rockies like I’d been personally invited by the sky itself.
And then there’s Kai, the tandem sorcerer who turned pure terror into pure delight. This human is part eagle, part therapist, part stand-up comedian. Kai’s calm “we’ve got this” energy somehow rewired my nervous system mid-climb, then mid-freefall he made the whole thing feel like the two of us were just out for a particularly ambitious stroll. Every instruction was crystal clear, every joke landed perfectly timed with the rush of the wind, and the landing? Soft as a daydream. Kai didn’t just keep me safe—he made me feel like a total pro while I was still mostly screaming-smiling into the void.
If happiness had a physical address, it would be 10,000 feet above a DZONE drop zone with Kai strapped in behind you. Five stars isn’t enough. I’m giving them the whole constellation. Book it. Jump it. Thank me later (preferably while still floating).

The best experience! The DZONE team was informative, gave multiple safety briefs, and walked us through every step of the way. We had so much fun and it was the prettiest location for a jump!!

Me and my girlfriend jumped for our first time for our anniversary and her 21st birthday. We had an incredible experience. The video and photo package is well worth the extra money. 10/10. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing! This experience literally took my breath away. I only wish I had done it sooner. It was hands down one of the best adventures I've ever had, and I already can't wait to do it again. A huge thank you to DJ for being incredible and making this such a fun, unforgettable, and memorable day. Dad would be proud! If you're thinking about skydiving, do it—you won't regret it!

First thing, I felt very safe and survived the fall. 5 stars for that.
The rest of the pre-jump stuff leaves a lot to be desired. Check-in was pretty straightforward and we all completed the waiver before arrival. What they failed to tell us was communicate exactly how long we would wait--nearly 3 hours after our booked time slot. In that waiting, no staff engaged with us or even checked in to assure any anxieties that is inherently involved with such an activity. At least there were lawn games to pass the time.
Additionally, I feel that for $130, the media package (photos and video) should not be watermarked. It was cool that they record a pre- and post-jump interview, but I can't help feeling with the watermark, I helped subsidize their advertising budget. At least the video was cool despite them playing the free fall section twice to pad the runtime to 4.5 minutes.
I would've liked some more face time with the instructors for the tandem jump to assure any hesitation or nervousness. But it was probably too busy and they were maybe understaffed to do something like that.
All-in-all a good experience, and I felt very safe. And it's hard to argue going to another place that costs less because maybe those people are underpaying staff and cutting corners somewhere? I think a fairer price would be closer to $250 for the jump but fuel is expensive and people need to get paid, so the margins are probably as tight as they could be. At least let people bring/use their own GoPro. $130 for watermarked video+photos (or $70 for watermarked photos) is quite excessive.
Response from the owner:Hello Mikhail. We would like to start first with safety.. we appreciate and thank you for that acknowledgement and 5 stars. That is the TOP priority of DZONE® Skydiving. That being said, we have 2 of the most experienced Instructors in the sport and likely world. We open our schedule for enough slots to Safely & Effectively give you jumpers the Feel The Freedom® experience you would expect for any thrill seeking adventure. As for the wait, when signing up, under the Agree and Understand boxes, the 5th box down states I UNDERSTAND none of us can control the weather and that I could spend at least FOUR HOURS at the dropzone. Although we do our best to keep the flow going, sometimes there are delays. There is so much happening all around that sometimes communication gets lost in the shuffle. We appreciate that being brought to our attention as we continue every day to work on that, so thank you again for mentioning that. For the pricing, we haven't raised our prices in about 5 years. We calculate what it takes behind the scenes to keep the doors open and running effectively and that formula seems to be holding steady while everything is going up around us almost monthly. So we pass along the best pricing we can without taking shortcuts and minimizing the experience. Does that make sense? Lastly, the media. In order to become a certified Tandem Instructor, one needs a minimum of 500 jumps. Then after that to become a Camera Certified Instructor, you need 200 minimum. The instructors work hard and take the ratings very seriously. The ratings and certificates are their way of making a living. So because you have to be certified, that is why we cannot just let anyone bring a GoPro. You can also read about the strict safety regulations established by the United States Parachute Association USPA.org There is a lot of good information there and why rules are put in place. We hope that helps clear up a few things and again, we appreciate you recognizing safety first here at DZONE® and the information in the review.
