Our outdoor skydiving location near Bozeman, MT is one of the best places to skydive in the U.S. We’re located at 1680 3 Forks Airport Rd, Three Forks, MT—just a 30 minute drive from downtown Bozeman—and we offer a skydiving experience that’s both convenient and unforgettable.
First-time jumpers are especially welcome, since we offer tandem skydiving that you can enjoy with minimal preparation and training. Here’s what you should know about outdoor skydiving at our Bozeman, MT facility:
- Tandem skydiving is an amazing way for first time jumpers to experience the thrill and freedom of free fall. It exposes first-time jumpers to the skydiving adventure with minimal expectations from the student.
- You are physically attached to your instructor and your parachute at 4 points by a harness and connectors built to FAA TSO specifications. Because of the tandem harness set up, you will need only a brief amount of training before making your first skydive.
- Just like learning to drive a car, or fly an airplane, dual instruction (tandem) is the best way to experience your first skydive, being able to communicate with your instructor during your experience.

Discover Our FleetWhat to Expect From Your Tandem Skydive in Bozeman
New to skydiving? Here’s the simple version: you’ll check in at our Three Forks drop zone, ride up with your instructor, freefall, fly under parachute, and land back on our grass field.
Check-In & Training
Check in at the DZONE hangar, watch a short safety video, and meet your USPA-certified tandem instructor. They fit your harness, explain each step, and help turn nervous energy into real excitement.
Plane Ride to Altitude
The flight to altitude takes about 17 to 23 minutes. You’ll see Bozeman, Three Forks, and Big Sky country from above while your instructor stays with you, checks your gear, and prepares you for the rush ahead.
Freefall
When the door opens, you and your instructor leave the plane together. Freefall lasts about 30 to 60 seconds at around 120 mph: fast, loud, safe, and full of pure adrenaline.
Parachute Ride
After freefall, the parachute opens and everything slows down. You’ll spend about 5 to 9 minutes under canopy, breathing again, taking in the view, and feeling the calm after the rush.
Grass Landing
Your instructor guides the landing onto our private grass field near the hangar. Most tandem landings are simple: feet up, slide in, stand up, and celebrate the safest thrill you’ve ever felt.
